Women to Watch Grant

The Sport Manitoba Women to Watch grant helps cover costs for training, travel, equipment, camps, professional development, and more to support your sport development journey.

Female-identifying athletes, coaches, and officials are eligible to apply for this $500 grant.

January 2025 NCCP Courses

Some upcoming courses include:

  • Making Ethical Decisions: This training will equip you to handle virtually any ethical situation confidently. MED is one of the NCCP’s cornerstone workshops, leaving coaches with no doubt about what to do when the going gets tough.
  • Design a Basic Sport Program: This training will teach you to create a sound outline for your sport program that includes competition and training events, assess the athletic development opportunities your program offers and identify ways to remedy any weaknesses, and more.
  • Manage a Sport Program: This module provides coaches with the opportunity to plan and interact with program budgeting, set staff and team expectations, arrange team travel, build athlete agreements, and report on athlete/team progress.

Intercultural Skills in Sport: eLearning Module

Fostering intercultural skills is essential to promote inclusivity and understanding among participants and coaches. Embracing cultural diversity enriches team dynamics and enhances the overall sport experience for everyone.

The three Intercultural Skills in Sport eLearning modules (Defining Culture, Culture and Me, Culture and Us) are designed to equip coaches with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate diverse cultural landscapes within sports. By exploring topics such as cultural humility, effective communication across cultures, and creating inclusive environments, coaches will be empowered to create a sense of belonging and respect among all participants on a diverse team.
