ITP and Safe Sport Educational Video for Club Leadership

Swim Manitoba

As part of our ongoing commitment to safe sport in Manitoba, we’re pleased to share a new video resource for club leaders: a 20-minute presentation on the maltreatment complaint reporting process, delivered by Samantha Heron from ITP Sport.

We think this will be a genuinely useful tool for your club leaders. It focuses on the third-party complaint mechanism and what it means for them specifically — covering The Protecting Youth in Sports Act, how the process works, and most importantly, their role when a complaint or disclosure arises within their club.

You can access the video using this LINK.

The video offers a clear understanding of the reporting process and will serve as a lasting reference they can revisit anytime. In the video, ITP also reinforces that they handle all maltreatment complaints directly, giving clubs confidence in a clear, independent pathway.

Safe sport is a shared responsibility, and this video is just one part of our continued effort to support you and your clubs. We’ll keep building on it as we all work together to keep Manitoba sport safe.
