National Sport Trust Fund

Swim Manitoba

December 9, 2024

Dear Swim Natation Manitoba Supporters,

Swim Natation Manitoba is pleased to partner with the National Sport Trust Fund (NSTF) for our Swim Natation Manitoba Capital Investment Project as one of the NSTF’s approved and eligible projects.

The National Sport Trust Fund (NSTF) is a philanthropic gift-giving program established through the Canadian Council of Provincial and Territorial Sport Federations (CCPTSF) for the development of amateur sport on a national level. The CCPTSF is a Registered Canadian Amateur Athletic Association (RCAAA) with the Canada Revenue Agency. As a RCAAA, CCPTSF is able to issue an official tax receipt for all qualifying donations of $20 or greater. Sport Manitoba is the Fund Manager in Manitoba.

This project has been established to help support the refresh/renewal and/or purchase of tournament and training infrastructure at the Pan Am Pool – training tank. Proceeds will be used to support the development of the Pan Am Pool training tank in the following ways:

Project Goals –

•             Purchase equipment and technology to allow for continuous improvements to the facility

•             Provide financial support to a feasibility study that will help decision makers determine how increased capital investments at the Pan Am Pool will support increased usage of the facility

In turn, these upgrades will support increased provincial, national and international competition opportunities at Pan Am pool. Anything raised above and beyond the capital project goal would go towards hosting these types of events.

Pan Am Pool in Winnipeg, Manitoba is the premier event center for swimming competition and training in Manitoba. There is an urgent need for equipment renewal and upgrades to ensure the longevity of the training tank. This project will support the need for upgrades to existing equipment and the purchase of new equipment to ensure that provincial, national and international events can be hosted at the venue. It will also support athlete development to ensure that Manitoba swimmers have access to facilities that support success and achievement at the national and international levels.

We hope that we can rely on you to help support our fundraising efforts and contribute to the growth and maintenance of a strong and healthy swim community. If you would like to donate or for more information regarding the NSTF, please contact the undersigned at [email protected]

Thank you in advance for your generosity.

 Bruce Rose, SNM Executive Director
